Vanessa Berry - Co-Chair, Program Committee

Vanessa holds a master’s degree in Sustainability Science from Unity College, and a bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Maine at Farmington. Perfectly blending her background in education and environmental sustainability, she currently serves as the Sustainable Maine Outreach Coordinator for the Natural Resources Council of Maine, where she builds relationships with educators, community organizations, and groups across the state to reduce waste and keep materials out of Maine’s landfills through grants, education, and legislative policies.

Prior to her role at NRCM, Vanessa spent nearly four years working directly with municipalities, schools, and local organizations to provide education and support on their waste reduction and diversion strategies. She also serves of the Board of Directors for the Maine Resource Recovery Association, the Maine Environmental Education Association, the Solid Waste and Recycling Advisory Committee for the City of Gardiner, and joined the E2Tech Board in December of 2021.
