Canada’s commitment to the Paris Agreement of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 includes a federal climate strategy. Canada’s 2023 budget outlines $80 billion in new measures to fight climate change, bringing the total commitments to over $200 billion.
Meanwhile, 96 Canadian-owned businesses employ 8,034 workers in Maine, and Maine sells more goods to Canada than to all other countries combined. Canada is also the #1 customer for most states, including Maine.
