  • online

The Governor's Energy Office (GEO) is conducting a study, as required by statute, to assess the renewable energy market and how to most effectively meet the Maine’s Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) requirement of 80% by 2030. This will include analysis and review of the opportunities, potential and challenges to achieving the required targets. The GEO has retained Energy & Environmental Economics (E3) and Applied Economics Clinic (AEC) to assist in this assessment.

On Friday (11/6) from 1:30 – 3:00 PM the GEO and the study consultants will be holding a public webinar to present an overview of the study plan and solicit feedback to inform the study's scenario modeling.  The webinar will be 1.5 hours long and will include an overview of the study purpose, key considerations, and request for input. Following the presentation, there should be time for Q&A and discussion. Please register in advance of the meeting and feel free to share this meeting with your network.
