Portland! Heat Local March 2015

  • Wednesday, March 04, 2015
  • 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
  • Interphase Energy, 145 Presumpscot Street, Portland ME 04103

Join Greater Portland’s sustainable heating community to learn about the positive impact renewable, Maine-produced wood pellet heating has on our climate, our local economy and your home energy costs.

ReVision Heat will be hosting March’s Heat Local, our sustainable home heating Q&A mixer, at Interphase Energy in Portland, distributors of the Kedel wood pellet boiler. This month we’ll be joined by Portland homeowner Michael Bomser, who will share his experiences heating his home with wood pellets and host a Q&A with ReVision Heat Co-Founder and newly-appointed Chairman of the Maine Solid Fuels Board Lee Landry. We’ll also tour the Kedel wood pellet boiler that heats Interphase’s facility.

Maine is 90% forested – more than any other US state! When you heat with sustainably-produced Maine wood pellets, you help to keep your heating dollars local, rather than sending them out of state or out of the country for oil, gas or propane. Heating with wood pellets decreases your home’s carbon emissions by 90% and offers a 25% or higher reduction in your bills despite the current low cost of heating oil.

Enjoy snacks from Local Sprouts Cafe and local beer and wine while learning about greater Portland’s rapidly-growing sustainable heating community. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in renewable biomass heat to learn about pellet production and supply, the technology driving wood pellet boilers and the energy savings and carbon impact of biomass heat.
