  • 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • 145 Presumpscot Street, Portland, Maine, 04103

Interphase Energy, a Maine-based leader in supplying central pellet heating equipment throughout North America, is hosting an alternative energy expo at their Portland, Maine facility on Friday, September 12, 2014. Free to the public, the expo will showcase a variety of alternative energy organizations providing information and demonstrations as well as speakers, workshops, panels, food trucks and more!

It is an event for all ages. Children will enjoy activities just for them; the Chewonki School will be holding demos and workshops. Can anyone say wood pellet fun?

Ever wondered about electric cars and how they have advanced over the past few years? Take one for a test drive or see a demo. Come early to hear Jeff Marks of E2Tech (at 3 pm) and Patrick Woodcock, the Governor's Energy Commissioner, (at 3:30 pm) speak about trends in alternative energy and how the state is adapting.

Stay late for a live music performance from Moore, Wild & Lynch, and grab dinner from Fishin' Ships, PB&ME or Locally Sauced Burritos Food Trucks while getting to know others interested in sustainable solutions.

Jacob Roberson, Interphase Energy Managing Partner, states “At Interphase Energy, our mission is to provide sustainable energy solutions and in the spirit of celebration, we’re hosting this expo to showcase not only what we’re doing in biomass heating, but also excellent work in the areas of solar, wind, hydrogen and fuel cell.”
