Read Of Heating Problems, Programs, Policies, and Prospects written by Kay Mann of GreenEnergyMaine.com.

Join us for this first chance to hear from all three candidates on their energy and heating plans.

Together with our partners and sponsors, E2Tech is pleased to host this special event to help business and homeowners make cost-effective and thoughtful decisions ahead of the heating season. The event will consist of the following three parts:

What can the Governor do?

What plans do Maine’s gubernatorial candidates have to help Mainers manage their heating costs while being considerate of the environment? Gov. Paul LePage, Congressman Mike Michaud, and candidate Eliot Cutler are confirmed to speak on their approaches to this critical issue as well as their energy and environmental positions.

What help is available and are these programs working?

Patrick Woodcock, Director of the Governor’s Energy Office, and Michael Stoddard, Executive Director of Efficiency Maine,
will report on heating options, results of past efforts, and currently-available programs to help ease Mainers' heating burden and make the right choice “in the heat of the moment.”

What are my options?

Maine heating and energy efficiency companies will have information and displays on their products and be available to discuss their products and services. These displays will be open throughout the morning.
