Maine Ocean and Wind Industry Initiative
Maine is uniquely positioned to supply components and services to support wind and ocean energy development within the state, throughout the northeastern United States and into Atlantic Canada. Maine possesses considerable natural wind and ocean energy resources and has sufficient assets in its current business base--precision and composites manufacturing, engineering, construction, marine services and trades, applied research and development, and transportation and logistics--to play a significant role in the onshore, offshore and ocean energy supply chains necessary to develop these resources. These assets are now being developed through a collaborative effort of E2Tech, the Maine Ocean & Wind Industry Initiative (MOWII), and the Maine Composites Alliance.
Maine Cleantech Business and Economic Development
The Maine Cleantech Business & Economic Development Project will promote E2Tech members, help them compete and accelerate their business development. E2Tech will also support the sector as a whole, including Maine’s clean technology companies, suppliers, supporting assets and other market participants.
Maine Manufacturing Supply Chain Database
In collaboration with the Maine Manufacturing Extension Partnership (Maine MEP), Maine Composites Alliance, and Maine Ocean & Wind Industry Initiative (MOWII), E2Tech is creating a supply chain database of companies and organizations working within the environmental, energy, and clean technology sectors in the State of Maine. Companies and organizations from across the State will be listed to create a comprehensive economic and business development resource.
