Efficiency Maine helps businesses and residents across Maine use energy resources more efficiently, reduce energy costs, and lighten the impact on Maine’s environment from the burning of fossil fuels. The agency’s energy saving programs reduce the use of heating fuels and electricity through energy efficiency improvements and the use of renewable resources including solar, biomass heating and residential wind energy.

To date, Efficiency Maine programs have produced the following benefits:

  • Total lifetime economic benefits for Maine of approximately $400 million;
  • Savings of approximately four million megawatt hours of electricity--enough to power all Maine homes for a year; and
  • Avoided emissions of two million metric tons of carbon dioxide (CO2).

Efficiency Maine is working in all sectors of Maine to improve energy efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen our economy.  This forum will provide an overview of the residential, commercial, and industrial projects funded by Efficiency Maine over the last year and examine the energy saving results.

Keynote Speaker:

  • Michael Stoddard, Executive Director will present an overview of Efficiency Maine's energy efficiency and renewable energy goals for 2012.
Efficiency Maine Program Managers available for Q&A:
