Maine Energy and Environmental
Policy Outlook 2018

7:30 - 8:00 a.m. Networking Breakfast
8:00 - 10:00 a.m. Panel Session

The Maine State Legislature faces numerous challenging and controversial topics in the new year. As the second half of the 128th Maine Legislative Session begins, there are over 400 bills requiring action; more than 300 of them held over from the first session. The energy and environmental issues up for discussion and consideration include microgrids, distributed generation and net metering, sea level rise, water quality standards, and the RGGI program, among others.

What can Maine expect to come out of a short session with a multitude of bills during an important election year? E2Tech is bringing together State energy and environmental leaders to provide a preview of energy and environmental initiatives and activities in 2018.

Speakers Include:

  • Marc Cone - Director, Bureau of Air Quality, Maine Department of Environmental Protection
  • Speaker Sara Gideon - Speaker of the House, Maine State Legislature
  • Steven McGrath - Director, Maine Governor's Energy Office
  • Senator Thomas Saviello - Chair, Environment and Natural Resources Committee, Maine State Legislature
  • Sarah Tracy - Partner, Pierce Atwood & Chair, E2Tech Program Committee (moderator)
