You are invited to join E2Tech and the British Consulate General as E2Tech and Pierce Atwood host Rosalind Campion, Counsellor for Global Issues at the British Embassy in Washington DC.

Roz will be discussing the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) and opportunities to develop strong business relationships between Maine and the United Kingdom and encourage private investments and job opportunities for both partners.

The TTIP is a trade agreement that is presently being negotiated between the European Union and the United States aimed at removing trade barriers in a wide range of economic sectors to make it easier to buy and sell goods and services between the EU and the US.

In 2013, the UK was Maine’s 8th largest export market, purchasing approximately $60 million of product. In 2014, the Maine International Trade Center led a trade mission to London to facilitate business meetings between Maine and UK companies. Roz and attendees will continue this dialogue, as the British Consulate estimates that agreements like the TTIP could further increase energy and environmental product exports from Maine to the UK.
